Diving Group

Group Activities
The group meets at the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club on the first Wednesday of the month.

Dive activities are organised by a dive calendar published approximately every two months and distributed primarily by e-mail.

The calendar lists dates for dives (usually Sundays) and a contact person who is responsible for the dive (usually a boat owner). Last minute arrangements are not uncommon and this means contact by e-mail is the most appropriate means.

Depending on the availability of boats dives are usually at selected sites around Moreton Bay and its immediate surrounding areas. Some dives are also organised at places like the Tweed River and Kirra Reef.

Divers are requested to contact the nominated person on the Wednesday prior to the dive date.

Most dives are weather dependent and may be cancelled if rough conditions occur on the dive date.

The Club owns an air compressor for the filling of tanks. Tanks may be filled by qualified compressor operators by arrangement at a cost of $4 per tank.

People wanting to start diving can learn from the experience gained by the many club members who can offer some advice to hopefully save you time and money.
