Warnings
A strong wind warning is current for waters south of Cape Moreton including Moreton Bay. Synoptic Situation
A trough over the west of the state will move into the eastern tropics and off the southern coast during the afternoon and evening. The trough will decay on the southern tropical coast during Saturday. A new high will move into South Australia on Saturday and off the east Australian coast by late Sunday. Moreton Bay Waters:
A strong wind warning is current.
Friday until midnight: Wind: N/NW 20/30 knots. Winds shifting W/SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon then easing to 15/20 knots during the evening. Sea: 1 metre rising to 1.7 metres. Rain at times clearing in the afternoon.
Saturday: Wind: SW/S to 15/20 knots shifting SE/E 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea: 1 metre decreasing 0.7 metres.
